Terms and Policies
In an effort to assure that there are no misunderstandings, we have outlined
some points of potential confusion concerning our specialty cake policies. As
these policies apply to all orders (including phone orders), we ask that you
carefully read and understand, fully, our policies.
Matching Designs
Often we are asked to duplicate pictures (either ours or from outside sources). There are many factors
which determine replication of a design. Among these factors are exclusively available supplies, local
health department regulations, etc. We use our best effort to provide each and every client with as close
of a duplication as can be attained. As with any handmade product, variations in each wedding cake are
natural and desired. Every client wants their cake to be unique. However, we reserve the right to
determine the level of replication and creative design.
Matching Colors
We make every possible effort to match your desired colors, however, to get as close as possible, you
must provide us with a color swatch. When working with food grade dyes, perfect color matches are
sometimes impossible. Colored icing may have a tendency to change with time, humidity, and heat. The
darker colors may also stain teeth and will have some residual flavor. We use all our skill to duplicate
your swatch: however, we do reserve the right to determine the quality of the color match.
Delivery
Delivery charges are based on distance from the home bakery. If no one is at the site at the time of
delivery or if we cannot gain entry into the building, then we will return the cake to the bakery. The
responsibility for the delivery then becomes yours. Please take care to confirm the time of delivery with
the reception or event site so that this does not happen.
Edible Greetings does not assume responsibility for assemble and/or condition of the cake after delivery
to the destination and after inspection. Extremely high temperature due weather conditions and lack of a
cool environment at the appointed location may adversely affect the condition of the cake. Edible
Greetings will take every step possible to ensure a quality product.
Equipment Deposit
An equipment deposit is required on rentals of cake stands and plateaus. This is a refundable deposit
only if you return all the rented property, with all pieces included and cleaned with 24 hours of your event.
Late, dirty, broken or lost items forfeit your deposit at our discretion which we then use to replace or
repair our equipment or stands.
Cake Order Deposits
To fulfill our obligation to your order, Edible Greetings may decide to turn down another clients order
requested on the same day and time as yours. For this reason and to secure a date for your cake, you
must submit a 50% non refundable deposit . Without this deposit,, your requested cake and date may be
forfeited and reserved for another client. This payment is non refundable. All deposits and paid amounts
are non-refundable.
Cancellation
If services must be cancelled after order has been placed, deposits or any paid amounts remain
nonrefundable. However, the client is not entitled to fulfill any additional payments of balances. Unless
approved by the owner, refund requests are not honored. Paid balances on cancelled cake orders may
be applied as a credit toward future specialty cakes by Edible Greetings.
Final Changes and Payments
Changes to an existing order - which include size, design, flavor, fillings, colors, etc. - will be accepted
until two weeks prior to the event. After that lockout date we cannot accept any changes. All orders must
be completely paid in full at least two weeks prior to the event. We will not prepare or deliver your cake
until the balances have been paid in full. Balances are due two weeks prior to your expected date of
delivery.
